Rising rapidly, from the dust and ashes of the Alamo is a new film star. Twenty-four year old Anne Stedman (dob: 1-17-76), born in San Antonio (where they know Picante sauce), and raised in Austin, has that special gift of being hot, sexy, cute, sweet -- and yet... dangerous! Most actresses are one, or maybe two of those things. Anne has an inate quality that makes her all of these things. She was educated in radio, TV, and film at University of Texas in Austin -- "where I did all my partying and got into trouble." She currently resides in L.A. "where I still get into trouble, just more responsible about it." Clint Eastwood's Space Cowboys shows at the Venice film festival and is also released in theatres. Anne has a part as Tommy Lee Jones' son's girlfriend. "All my scenes are with Tommy Lee Jones himself. Clint called me his 'little Texas flower,' and Tommy liked me after he knew we were both Texas folk." But, before that, in July you will see Anne on TV in a McDonald's commercial, directed by commercial director, Joe Pitka. "I play a 16 year old even though I'm 24. When my love interest (who's really 16) wasn't nervous and was supposed to be for the ad, the director told me to tell him my real age before he yelled action. This little boy was hitting up on me all day, so when I told him my real age he freaked just like Pitka wanted him to. It's a national commercial that will be airing so much, you may get sick of me."
Anne also made a short film, Bingo with co-star Diane Farr (MTV's Loveline). It went to several film festival including Slamdance. While still in college Anne got her first big break in The Newton Boys. "I play Matthew's (McConaughey) girlfriend, but by the time it got to the editing room, I look like a one night stand. It still got me my SAG card." Anne's first film was called The Dig. She says, "the content in the film is not worth mentioning, but this was the film that made me decide to be an actress. Four-hundred girls auditioned for my part and I went as a joke with one of my friends and ended up getting the part. How about that!" That's exactly how Tony Dow got to play Wally on Leave It to Beaver. TS: Are any parts of your body plastic, or plastic-like? AS: No, I have no plastic parts. I'm all 100% genuine. TS: What was Bingo? AS: It was about a surprise party where the birthday girl ends up wearing only peanut butter at the end; it's an urban myth story. By the way, i'm not the girl in peanut butter. TS: Who played the girl who wore only peanut butter, and did she appear in the film with only peanut butter on? AS: Alexa Jago wore only peanut butter. TS: Was Alexa just standing around naked in peanut butter for a long time? You couldn't really wear a robe over it. Is she very attractive? AS: Yea, attractive Alexa was just hanging around in peanut butter. You must check it out next time you're in town. I have the tape.
