But here is what I wrote when I put this page up a year or two ago: I'd never heard of Asia Argento until a month or so when I bought an expensive European magazine. I couldn't read the magazine because it was in another language. But on the cover lay this naked woman, covered in black oil, and with a giant angel tattoo on her belly. It was like 10 dollars, so, of course I bought it. And my love affair with that covergirl, Asia Argento, began...

Turns out Asia is a huge star in Europe, especially her home-country of Italy. Her father is Dario Argento the cult horror filmmaker. She was born in Rome on September 25, 1975 and was officially named Aria since the registration office did not accept Asia! She started her acting career when she was only nine yers old. Since then she's been in over fifteen movies, she has won two David D Donatello awards (the italian oscar), two CIACKs -- an italian Golden Globe -- when she was only twelve, and a Grolla d'Oro.

Besides Italian films, she's acted in French, in Queen Margot (1994) and in English, in B. Monkey (1998), by director Michael Radford, where she played the lead role, and Abel Ferrara's New Rose Hotel. She's published a novel called "I Love You Kirk". Asia also sings for various Italian bands, and did some singing in New Rose Hotel, that I thought to be very good. Great soundtrack, with a score by Schoolly D, but it is not available as an album.

Her father has directed her in three films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome and The Phantom of the Opera and came under some fire for directing her in his famous sex scenes. She's written and directed her latest film, Scarlet Diva.

I recommend you rent B. Monkey (which costars Rupert Everett) and New Rose Hotel (with Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe) to see Asia in action. She's so big and juicy, voluptuous and silky and her heavy Italian accent is very endearing. She's frequently nude in both films! She's fiery and tough. And, of course, sexy.
