Joanna turned 30 on April 13, 2003. I went down to L.A. to help her celebrate that wonderful day of turning from a "girl" to a "woman" or "lady." For instance, a teenager might say, "who is that woman?" now, rather than "who is that girl?"

Pre-party jitters?

Pre-party run for mixers. At this point, my camera battery expired. No more pictures until the next day.

Breakfast the next day, with Joanna, Phil, Lisa and me (I'm taking the picture, which is why you can't see me)!

At the end of the weekend, Jo and Mr C are worn out!

Mother's Day, May 11, 2003. Mom's 33rd Mother's Day, was a blowout spectacular! I grilled up some steak sandwiches and hamburgers. I think I made Mom a CD.

Later that month, the MiniCar people invited Mom to see The Italian Job at the Rheem Theatre. They invited everyone in the area who had just bought one. So, the parking lot was full of them! Mom took this picture.
