At Pinky's Pizza in Walnut Creek, CA. In the midst of one of those wonderful half hours, where I chat with the guys who work there, read, work on the daily crossword puzzle, eat the best pizza ever of all time, wrap up several pepperoni slices to take home to Mr C, always wonder what people think when I wrap up slices of pepperoni in several napkins... |
Again. |

Joanna recently got a picture phone like I have. Was trying to think of something to snap and send to her. Was in Alamo, playing Scrabble with Mom. The rest is self-explanatory. |
Again, but even more juvenile. |

This is the prelude picture to the now classic Mr-C-as-Impish-Nephew shot seen here. |
I got this book as a gift for Mom, last Xmas or something. She sent me this phone pic from some place she was at this summer. The book is by Philip Roth who wrote Portnoy's Complaint. About ten or so years ago, Random House released their list of 100 Best Eng. Lang. Novels of the 20th Cent. I decided that would be a good place to start reading from. Portnoy's was on it. Read it; thought it was really, really good. Before I saw the list I had read about a dozen of the 100, now I'm up to about a third. Found a lot of great books/writers via their list. |

This is cute. Dad is famously not into dogs, but I believe that Mr C is slowly wearing him down. Here the two hang out together in the family room. |
Driving back to SF, saw the license plate on this car: GOBRS97, and it said something like Cal Alumni around the plate. Took the pic to send to Dad, as he graduated from UC Berkeley -- but before "the hippies took over." |
